The Adamawa State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, in partnership with the Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB) and the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), has commenced interviews for candidates shortlisted from the recently concluded CBT examinations for the recruitment of 5,000 teachers. The exercise is being conducted at General Murtala Mohammed College (GMMC), Yola.
During the session, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Hajiya Aishatu M. Umar, advised candidates to conduct themselves professionally and work toward becoming competent educators, noting that they are “teachers in the making.”
Speaking to journalists, she acknowledged challenges related to state indigene certificates, explaining that affected candidates were granted time to obtain the required documents before the end of the verification process.
She added that the interview exercise, which began in Michika LGA, would continue to accommodate those who missed the earlier session before moving on to the next LGA.
For smooth coordination, the process was divided into three units—A, B, and C—with candidates undergoing data recapture before proceeding to the interview stage.
Some of the candidates expressed gratitude to the state government for prioritizing education and affirmed that the interview process was transparent and strictly aligned with their fields of study.
