Farauta stated this when she received Kannywood celebrities who were in the state on Tree Planting Sustainability Advocacy in her office on Friday.

The deputy governor lamented the act of cutting down forests and indiscriminate dumping of refuse as factors increasingly influencing the climate and the earth’s temperature which needed to be addressed.

She explained that the visit of the Kannywood young stars was timely to avail them the opportunity to tell the world the progress already recorded in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) improvement as well as development in the state to the wider world.

“The Kannywood celebrities are making us proud in the entertainment industry. They are in the state to give us support during monthly sanitation.

“We assured them that all the trees planted by government through Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) is taken care of, as they are into tree planting advocacy,” Prof. Farauta said.
