The commissioner, health and human services, Chief Felix Tangwami, said the move was to curb snake bites among people of the state.

Tangwami disclosed this when receiving  the two Toyota Hilux vans and 42 motorcycles on behalf of the state government donated by the Global Fund in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Welfare.

He expressed government’s commitment to boost and reinvigorate the health sector in the state at all costs.

While urging the health personnel to carry out their duties with a sense of vigour, the commissioner pledged quality and responsible leadership in that regard.

He also advised the beneficiary agencies to use the items for the purpose intended.

In a remark, the executive secretary, Adamawa State Agency for the Control of AIDS, (ADSACA), Doctor Boniface Gundiri, noted with satisfaction the distribution of the vehicle and pledged their judicious use.
