Senator representing Adamawa South Senatorial zone under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Binos Dauda Yaroe, has dumped his former party in Adamawa State.

However, Yaroe’s next political destination was not disclosed in a letter of resignation sighted by LEADERSHIP.

The letter was meant to be submitted to the senator’s PDP ward chairman in Mayo-Belwa Local government area of the state on Friday.

LEADERSHIP however gathered that it was delayed till tomorrow, Saturday, to enable the ward chairman to return from a trip.

The second-term senator, known for his medical outreach in his zone, however cited what he described as the “fractured state” of the PDP at the national level as the primary reason for his decision.
He expressed disappointment over the party’s internal crises, stating that the party had chosen a path of self-destruction.
“After many years of fruitful journey as a committed member of PDP, it pains me that PDP has elected to self-destruct at the national level,” Yaroe said in a statement accompanying his resignation letter.
“In consequence, I have very little choice than to withdraw my membership of the party at this point,” he said.
The lawmaker appreciated his former party for the support that enabled his electoral victories but wished the party success in its efforts to rebuild and repair its internal challenges.

The lawmaker’s personal assistant, Jama Medan, confirmed his exit from PDP but could not give more clarifications.
Senator Binos is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on States and Local Government Administration at the national assembly.
Sources close to the lawmaker said his next political move would be determined after due consultations with his constituents.

End.
