Adamawa Sexagenarian Arrested For Abusing Minors

Police in Adamawa State have arrested a sexagenarian, Mahmudu Adamu, for allegedly abusing an 11-year-old girl.

Adamu, the police said confessed to have inserted his fingers into the private parts of three minors in Ganye local government area at different times.

The police spokesperson, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, disclosed the arrest of the suspect to journalists in Yola, the state capital yesterday.

The suspect reportedly said he was into the act for sexual satisfaction and blamed the devil for his immoral way of life.

Yahaya said the suspect was nabbed following a report from the parents of the third victim.

He said the police commissioner, Afolabi Babatola, has ordered the prosecution of the suspect after investigation had been completed.
