ADC Begins Sale Of Forms For Adamawa LG Poll

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa state has commenced sales of nomination forms for chairmanship and councillorship aspirants ahead of the local government election slated for 13th July, 2024.

The State Chairman of the party, Comrade Shehu Kambile Yohanna who announced this said sales of the forms would be closed on 21 June, 2024.

Yohanna said the expression of interest form for chairmanship position costs N50,000, nomination form N70,000; while councillorship candidates will pay N10,000 for interest form and nomination form at N30,000.

He added that women and people with special needs will only buy the interest forms while the nomination forms are free.

The chairman further revealed that ADC will conduct screening of aspirants on 23rd and 24th June, 2024 while hearing of appeals is slated for 26th June 2024.

He said the party is ready for the election with the hope of winning many seats and expressed appreciation on the arrangements put in place by the state electoral body.

The ADC chairman called on party members wishing to contest any office in the election to come to the ADC state secretariat, opposite Unity Bank Jimeta – Yola to pick the forms.

He urged people of Adamawa especially youths to eschew violence before, during and after the local government election.
