The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is set to strengthen its grassroots political machinery in Kogi State with the inauguration of its Kogi East Women Forum, scheduled for December 28, 2025, at De-Deck Hotel, Ayagba.

In a statement issued in Abuja yesterday, the chairperson of the forum, Hajia Mariyam Yakubu, said the inauguration would mark a decisive step in mobilising women as a formidable political force ahead of the 2027 general elections.

She disclosed that the event would attract prominent leaders and members of the party from across the Kogi East Senatorial District, while public lectures and a policy-driven symposium would form part of activities lined up to deepen political awareness and participation among women.

According to Hajia Yakubu, the women forum is designed as a grassroots movement that will take the ADC’s message directly to communities through aggressive door-to-door campaigns, extending from polling units to ward levels across the senatorial district.
