Governor of Osun State Ademola Adeleke has appointed a vice chancellor and other principal officers for the University of Ilesa.
The governor had maintained that the university which was established by the immediate past administration of Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, had come to stay.
The officers who received their appointment letters from the secretary to the state government (SSG), Hon Teslim Igbalaye on Thursday include: Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, Vice Chancellor; Mr. Funso Olawale Ojo, registrar; Dr. Mukaila Oyesegun Oyekanmi, bursar while Mr. Adewale Amobi Ogusipe was appointed the librarian.
The SSG who also hosted the appointees in his office charged them to uphold virtue of professionalism and integrity which endeared them to the state Governor and which recommended them for the appointments.
Asaolu is a Nigerian professor of accounting and finance. He is also a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is the former dean, faculty of administration, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
He was the chairman of the University of Ilesa Review Committee which was set up by former Governor Adeleke to address all outstanding issues for the take-off of the university.
