Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and model Adeniyi Johnson has expressed concern over the rising insecurity in the country, saying many Nigerians now live in fear.

In an Instagram post, the actor questioned how the situation had worsened despite promises of peace and stability. He said many people are now faced with uncertainty and anxiety.

His words on Instagram:

“How did we get here?
We didn’t sign up for these at all!!! Where is the Ifokanbale you promised us?!! Now we can’t sleep with our eyes closed!! Are the Bandits smarter or wiser than our entire military force? Do they know Nigeria more than you?!! Ahh.. it is now closer to us than we think!!!”
GOVERNMENT PLEASE
DO THE NEEDFUL NOW!!!

Johnson also wondered whether bandits were staying ahead of security agencies. He added that the security crisis is now affecting ordinary citizens more directly than many ever expected.
