A non-governmental organisation established to tackle hunger, and reduce food wastage in the country, Abuja Food Bank Initiative (AFBI) has donated food items to residents of Karimo Abuja.

The initiative aimed to impact 100 families was carried out by AFBI in collaboration with Jotrose Foods.

Aghahowa said AFBI works with religious organisations, corporate entities, and individuals to achieve their main objectives.
On her part, the managing director, Jotrose Foods, Joy Ogiator stated that her organisation remains committed to collaborating with like-minded organisations to close the food gap in Nigeria.

“This project is not government funded, we do partner with organisations gracious enough to support us to achieve our goals,” she said.
Ogiator who expressed joy seeing the smiles on the faces of people who benefited from the donations stated that there is a need to reach out to less privileged families.
