Cheetahs of Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr, has admitted it will be difficult for his team to beat the Super Eagles again.
Rohr’s side defeated the three-time African champions 2-1 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in June.

The Cheetahs need another win against the Super Eagles when they clash today at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan to boost their chances of booking a spot at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The German, who was in charge of the Super Eagles, said it would be a herculean task to repeat a similar feat.

“Repeating the feat of June is going to be complicated. Because Nigeria is now at full strength. But we believe in it,” he told Foot Africa.

Thursday’s encounter will kick off at 8 p.m. Nigerian time.
