AFMPN Partners ISO Academy To Build Capacity Of Facility Managers

In fulfilment of its objectives, the Association of Facilities Management Practitioners, Nigeria (AFMPN) has entered into a strategic partnership with
ISO FM Academy, a provider of facilities management consultancy and training services based on ISO 41000 Facility Management Series.

The partnership deal, which was sealed on April 8, 2024 in Abuja, was jointly signed by the President of AFMPN, Mr. Paul Erubami; the Director of Finance and Administration, Hajiya Zainab Saleh; the Chief Operating Officer of ISO FM Academy, Mr. Gabriel Kujimiyo, and the Academy Administrator, Mrs Amauche Chukwurah.

The mutual collaboration between ISO FM Academy and AFMPN signifies a shared commitment to enhance skills and knowledge of Facility Management Professionals in Nigeria.

“We aim to elevate facility management development in-line with understanding ISO 41001 Facility Management System (FMS), its role, requirements and basis for Facility Management project implementation and service delivery in the Facility Management (FM) Industry and other standards like ISO 41014 FM Strategy and ISO 41018 FM Policy, in the ISO 41000 Facility Management Series.

“By mutual agreement, both organisations will leverage on their expertise and resources to offer
high-quality training programs, certification courses and professional development opportunities tailored to the needs, expectations and requirements of Facility Management Practitioners and businesses.

“This partnership underscores our commitment to promoting excellence in facility management and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Together, we will work towards advancing the field of facility management and driving excellence in FM practices in Nigeria,” a statement by AFMPN stated.

As part of the collaboration, ISO FM Academy and AFMPN will jointly develop and deliver training workshops, seminars and conferences focused on key areas of facility management, including sustainability, digital technology integration, and operational efficiency. In addition, members of AFMPN will have exclusive access to ISO FM Academy’s training programs and resources.

AFMPN, therefore, urged Facilities Managers in the country to take advantage of the unique opportunities offered through the partnership to update and enhance their skills, expand their knowledge and stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in facility management industry.
