Africa Interviews Holds Inaugural Sustainability Forum

One of Africa’s leading online media platforms with a unique editorial focus on positive narratives about people, places, and events, Africa Interviews has announced a lineup of guest speakers for the inaugural edition of the Africa Interviews Sustainability Forum.

The event “Leading Sustainability in Africa: Empowering Nigeria’s Green Future,” will hold at 10 am on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Confirmed guest speakers for the Africa Interviews Sustainability Forum include Deoye Ojuroye, executive director and chief financial officer of Providus Bank; Oladapo Filani, CEO of Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited; Ejiro Gray, director of governance and sustainability at Sahara Group; Lamé Verre, co-founder and co-chair of Lean In Equity and Sustainability; and Chioma Afe, director of external affairs and social performance at Seplat Energy.

At the Forum, the speakers will bring their wealth of local and international experience to address issues and enrich conversations around sustainability in Africa.

According to the organisers, their insights will cover important issues such as energy transition, innovative sustainability strategies, community engagement, and balancing the goal of achieving global #NetZero with addressing the continent’s energy needs.

In a statement, the organisers noted, “This inaugural edition promises to be a gathering of thought leaders, industry experts, and key stakeholders to drive sustainability and energy transition in Africa. The forum will feature innovative dialogues to foster sustainable development while addressing unique challenges and opportunities across different sectors in Nigeria and on the African continent.

“The Africa Interviews Sustainability Forum is a unique platform to engage with leaders at the forefront of sustainability and energy transition in Africa. Attendees will gain valuable insights into innovative strategies, community engagement, and the balance between achieving #NetZero and addressing the region’s energy needs. Join us for an inspiring and informative event that promises to shape the future of sustainability in Nigeria, Africa, and the rest of the world,” the statement reads.

The Africa Interviews Sustainability Forum is a series of events designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders towards driving sustainability and development across the continent. It aligns with Africa Interviews’ commitment to promoting positive narratives and highlighting the efforts of individuals and organisations making significant contributions to Africa’s progress.
