Dikko was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in May 2021.

Dr. Agaba in a congratulatory message said Kokumo being a thorough bred security professional will adequately and effectively tackle the threat of illicit arms in the country.

He expressed confidence in the capacity of the new DG to collaborate towards tackling the proliferation of small arms in the country.
