The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, commending his leadership in communicating government policies, programmes and activities.
In a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, the director-general of the agency, Lanre Issa-Onilu, extended warm felicitations to the minister, praising his steadfast commitment to advancing Nigeria’s national reorientation agenda in line with broader development goals.
Issa-Onilu described Idris as a focused and forward-looking leader whose dedication to public service has strengthened the information and orientation sector.
He noted that the minister’s stewardship has provided clear direction for agencies under the ministry to effectively engage citizens and promote national consciousness.
According to the NOA boss, the minister’s emphasis on national values, civic responsibility, and patriotism has helped reshape public discourse, encouraging Nigerians to develop a stronger sense of belonging and responsibility toward the country’s growth and stability.
He further observed that Idris’ leadership has injected renewed energy into efforts aimed at reconnecting citizens with core ideals such as unity, discipline, and collective responsibility—values considered essential for sustainable national development.
Issa-Onilu also highlighted improvements in government communication under the minister’s guidance, noting that increased clarity, structure, and consistency have enhanced public understanding of policies and programmes, fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry.
