The Adolescent Girl Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project in Katsina State has released N1.5 billion for the revival of learning in 15 schools in the state.
The state project coordinator, Mustapha Shehu, told journalists at the weekend that the funds were part of the project mega-grant in which the 15 schools received N100 million.
He said the funds were meant for classroom improvement, provision of furniture, construction and equipping of laboratories, water supply and provision of toilets.
He reiterated that under the mega-grant, about 68 schools were selected to benefit from the project this year, adding that from now to the expiration of the first phase of the project on July 1, 2025 a total number of 300 schools would benefit from the project.
