In a statement issued on Friday by the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, he disclosed that not less than 534 suspects have been arrested in the first few days of the crackdown during which illicit drugs such as cocaine, heroin, tramadol, codeine based syrups and other new psychoactive substances were recovered across the country.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kaduna, Rivers, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Osun, Benue and Plateau States were the top places with the highest number of arrests and seizures.

NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen Buba Marwa (Rtd), charged the agency’s operatives to continue taking action against drug cartels until the last gram of illicit drug is taken out of the streets and communities across the country.
