AI, Digitalisation Will Promote Safety At Workplace — Expert

The manager of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) in Ilorin, Kwara State, Mr Armstrong Ojulari on Monday stressed the importance of the the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and greater technology compliance in workplaces.

Ojulari stated this during an interview with LEADERSHIP at the sidelines of activities commemorating the 2025 World Day for safety and health at work with the theme: “Revolutionising Health and Safety: The Role of AI and Digitalisation at Work.”

Ojulari stressed the need for every organisation to embrace technology to remain relevant and aligned with global trends.

“With the rapid pace of technological advancement, organisations must adopt AI to enhance productivity and workplace safety.”

He added that, “AI will help save time, boost efficiency, and promote safer working environments.”

“At NSITF, we prioritise workers’ health and safety. We are calling on all organisations to embrace AI and digitalise their operations, not just for improved productivity but also for safety purposes,” he added.

The staff of NSITF later held a public rally to raise awareness about occupational safety and the role of AI and digitalisation at work.
