A global Data and Artificial Intelligence expert, Dr Domor Mienye, has met with the youth leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to discuss how technology can support governance and youth development in the country.

The meeting, held in Abuja, brought together Dr Mienye and the APGA national youth leader, Eze Onyebuchu Chukwu, to explore how data and innovation could improve governance and create opportunities for young people.

During the discussion, Dr Mienye stressed the need for government at all levels to adopt data-driven systems to improve decision-making and service delivery.

He explained that modern governance requires the use of real-time data, proper monitoring, and accountability to achieve better results for citizens.

He said, “Governance today must move beyond policy intentions to measurable outcomes. By embedding data and AI into public sector processes, governments can significantly improve service delivery, transparency, and long-term planning.”

He also noted that Nigeria’s large youth population is a major advantage, adding that with the right support in digital skills and access to technology, young people can drive innovation and economic growth.

Dr Mienye further said that engaging experts and stakeholders is important in aligning Nigeria’s policies with global standards, especially in the area of technology and development.

In his remarks, Chukwu said the APGA Youth Wing is committed to working with professionals and experts to develop ideas that reflect the needs of Nigerian youths.
