Describing the truce as a “win-win for both parties and a victory for the people of Rivers State,” Dr. Aikoriogie noted that the peaceful resolution of the long-running dispute between the executive and legislative arms of government in Rivers State marked a significant step toward democratic consolidation.

He also lauded the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Chike Amaewhule, for cooperating in the peace accord.

“The unity of the legislative and executive arms will not only foster peace but ensure that governance returns to the front burner in Rivers State,” he said.

Dr. Aikoriogie commended President Bola Tinubu for his timely intervention and statesmanlike leadership in brokering the peace deal, noting that it was a clear indication that Nigeria’s democracy was maturing under a president who values unity, dialogue and institutional respect.”
