A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Inspire Youth Africa Magazine in collaboration with Rest Logic Nigeria is set to honour the wife of the minister of budget and economic planning, Aisha Atiku Bagudu and national president of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Queen Elizabeth Egbetokun at the Inspire Her Conference and Awards 2024.
This is in commemoration of the 2024 International Women’s Day with the theme: “Inspire Inclusion.” To fashion out strategies to domesticate the resolutions of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68).
In a statement by the executive director of Inspire Youths Africa, Jeremiah Agala, it said that the conference will showcase the excellence, innovation, hard work, and diligence of the African and Nigerian women.
He said this is for their laudable commitment and achievements in empowering women, helping the widows and the less privileged, and promoting good governance within the nation and beyond.
Agala said with all in place for the Inspire Her Conference and Awards 2024, the conference will play host to over 500 inspiring and impactful women in business, leadership, politics, religion, career, and thought leaders from across Nigeria and beyond, cutting across all facets and sectors.
He said the event is expected to have an alluring array of accomplished ladies, eminent Nigerian leaders, the international community, female youth leaders, women organizations and groups, decision-makers.
He stressed that speakers at the conference are drawn from both the corporate and private sectors; the conference will offer a platform to have them share their inspiring stories and amazing journeys, and it will offer the women an opportunity to engage in solution-driven dialogues.
He, however, said it will develop workable strategies to address critical issues facing African women and girl children and inspire participants to deploy their full potential against all odds to make their society a better place.
He said this is a project that will see more ladies sponsored in tech-related skills, which is expected to reduce the unemployment rate and empower the ladies to be self-reliant and self-sufficient.
