DAAR Communications PLC Management, owners of AIT and Raypower, has its service which was disrupted at the instance of the Rivers State government will be restored soon.
They noted that the ongoing dispute between DAAR Communications PLC and the Rivers State Government is currently being deliberated in Court and therefore, further comments on the matter will be withheld to avoid prejudicing the legal process.
The management while providing an update on the recent developments concerning its operations in Rivers State in a statement yesterday in Abuja said on September 4th, 2023, at approximately 10 am, a joint operation involving the Rivers State Government and federal security agencies resulted in the collapse of the Transmission Mast for AIT and Raypower in Port-Harcourt.
The management said the unfortunate incident caused severe damage to the transmitter building and antennas, rendering AIT and Raypower terrestrial transmission temporarily unavailable.
The Management of DAAR Communications PLC assured its valued audience that alternative means to access AIT and Raypower content remain accessible, these include DStv, Gotv, StarTimes, the FreeTV platform, and the AIT and Raypower Apps available online.
Additionally, it said the company is actively engaged in efforts to expedite the restoration of terrestrial broadcasting services.
It said the public will be kept informed of any developments in due course.
