The Africa Insurance Women Association (AIWA) has concluded plans to organise an international conference to discuss the future of Insurance, trends, and challenges. The summit would also help to bridge the gender gap in the insurance industry and empower women to take on leadership roles.
The president of the Africa Insurance Women Association (AIWA), Mrs Margaret Nkechi Moore, expressed her enthusiasm about the upcoming conference, stating that “this conference marks a pivotal moment for the insurance industry in Africa. It’s an opportunity to address the challenges and opportunities we face in the insurance industry, especially in the context of gender diversity and leadership.
“I am confident that the insights and solutions shared during this event will pave the way for a more resilient and innovative industry, driven by women leaders’ unique perspectives and strengths.”
The chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Mrs Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, also highlighted the significance of the event that will take place from November 2nd to November 6th, 2024, in Lagos, saying the AIWA conference is not just a gathering; it is a movement towards a more inclusive and forward-thinking insurance sector.
