Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has promoted a forthcoming podcast episode featuring former Super Eagles striker Peter Osaze Odemwingie, expected to explore his decade-long experiences with the Nigeria Football Federation and other parts of his career.
A promotional poster shared on social media for episode 14 of the project is titled “The NFF. The Feuds. The Silence.” It features photographs and a caption stating the episode will soon be available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
In a post announcing the episode, Ajibade said the story had taken ten years to piece together. She highlighted Odemwingie’s career achievements: 65 appearances for the Super Eagles, 38 Premier League goals and his later qualification as a PGA professional golfer.
“Some stories take years to tell. This one took ten. He wore the Super Eagles shirt 65 times. Scored 38 Premier League goals. Became a PGA Professional Golfer. And through all of it, the NFF, the feuds, the silence, he never stopped believing that God was in every chapter,” she wrote.
Ajibade added that the episode would not hold back on the details.
The NFF has often been at the centre of controversy, from disputes over coaching appointments and unpaid bonuses to clashes with players and criticism over the handling of national teams. The promised revelations are therefore likely to be closely anticipated by Nigerian football followers.
