Akintujoye Reiterates Commitment To Bridging Continents Through Cinema, Compassion

A Nigerian-American filmmaker and healthcare professional, Kole Akintujoye, has reaffirmed his dedication to bringing African stories to global audiences while making a positive impact in Africa.

With a background in physics from a Nigerian university, Akintujoye has carved a unique path that merges his passion for storytelling with a strong commitment to philanthropy. Now based in the United States, he serves in a healthcare role with the U.S. government, leveraging his expertise to benefit public health.

Through his film production company, GUODB Cinematics, Akintujoye champions African narratives, creating films that resonate globally. His recent film, Sambala: The Cost of Freedom, exemplifies his mission to showcase authentic African stories, with a focus on cultural heritage, freedom, and resilience. Streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime have amplified his work, allowing audiences worldwide to connect with African experiences and values.

Outside the film industry, Akintujoye leads Give Us Our Daily Bread (GUODB), a non-profit organization that addresses hunger and promotes economic empowerment in Nigerian communities.

His dual roles in film and philanthropy underscore his commitment to using cinema as a tool for social change, aiming to uplift African communities both culturally and economically.
