A socio-political youths coalition, Akwa-Cross Youths Initiative (ACYI), has lauded the appointment of Princess Usoro Akpabio, as the inaugural managing director (MD) of the South-South Development Commission (SSDC), describing her as a round peg in a round hole.
Addressing journalists in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital yesterday, the coordinator of the group, Mr Daniel Riwo, noted Miss Usoro’s sterling leadership qualities in public service, saying as a woman raised in both Akwa Ibom and Cross River, there’s no doubt about her ability to deliver on the key mandate of the interventionist agency.
While congratulating the new MD on her special birthday as she turned 45, the group maintained that that “her choice of appointment by President Bola Tinubu, is an attestation that the entire region is blessed with youthful a figure with potentials, who can do exploits when called upon. On this momentous occasion of your 45th birthday, the Akwa-Cross Youths Initiative joins your family, friends, and admirers across Nigeria and beyond to celebrate you—Princess Usoro Akpabio, a true daughter of Akwa Ibom and Cross River states.
