The killings of the Etuk brothers in circumstances yet to be unravelled by the police who claimed to have launched a manhunt for the assailants.

LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered that the House has impressed it on Governor Umo to come up with the Executive Order in a bid to stem the problem of incessant killings and for security agencies to step up their act in safeguarding lives and properties in the state.

Armed hoodlums, it was learnt, stormed the family compound of the deceased brothers located at Nnung Iyoho community at about 11:00 pm last Thursday.

The assailants later moved to his younger brother at his own wing of the family compound, where they also killed the 50-year-old in cold blood.

However, responding to a matter of urgent public importance brought before the House by the member representing Nsit Ibom State Constituency, Hon. Eric Akpan, at the weekend, the House said it has taken a decisive step to address the rising security challenges in the state.
