The administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel, has zero tolerance for insecurity in the state, and will not relent in partnering relevant security agencies, including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in sustaining the prevailing peace.

The head of civil service (HoS), Elder Effiong Essien, when he received a delegation of the NIS officials of the Akwa Ibom State Command, led by the comptroller Francisca  Dakat, on courtesy call at Government House, Uyo, the state capital.

Essien, commended the robust public relations strategy employed by the command, and “for working tirelessly to ensure effective security coverage of the state’s vast coastline especially, on immigration issues.”

He assured his continued collaboration with the Command for the enlightenment of public servants on the processes and importance of owning International passport.

However, Dakat commended the HoS, for the audience, explaining that “the visit is part of familiarisation tour to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), “to further strengthen the already existing relationship between the Nigeria Immigration Service and Akwa Ibom state government.”
