LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered yesterday that this was the resolution was reached during the Ukam Think Tank forum where key stakeholders from the area decried exclusion of Ikpa Ibom Ward 2 from various socio-political, traditional and economic opportunities.

They recalled that since the creation of Mkpat Enin LGA in 1989 and especially after Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999, the ward has been conspicuously absent from major positions of power and influence.

A communique endorsed by the leaders including Bishop Victor Ufford; Engr. Samuel Rufus, and the former Mkpat Enin LGA Vice Chairman, Rt. Hon. Godwin Udofot, which was made available to Journalists at the end of the meeting, called for an end to the perennial marginalisation of the area.
