Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared that the exalted Alaafin’s Stool remains critical part of Yoruba heritage and history and as such, not for sale.
The governor made this known while delivering his address on Friday at the official commissioning of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Iseyin campus.
The governor appealed to all aspirants to the Alaafin stool and royal houses to end the tussle in order for quick emergence of a new Alaafin.
Makinde, who spoke in Yoruba language expressed readiness to crown a new Alaafin as soon as there was harmony among the royal households.
