The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, has expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for conferring on him the esteemed national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
In a statement signed by Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press and Public Relations, the Minister described the award as a call to greater service and pledged to intensify efforts toward transforming Nigeria’s education sector.
“This prestigious recognition is not only a testament to the President’s confidence in the Ministry’s work but also a reflection of the Renewed Hope Agenda that prioritizes education, youth empowerment, and digital inclusion,” the statement said.
Alausa commended President Tinubu’s visionary leadership and investments in key educational initiatives, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and the expansion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to empower young Nigerians with future-ready skills.
He further praised the administration’s ambitious plan to lay fibre optic cables across the country, an effort that he says will revolutionize digital learning, bridge the connectivity divide, and prepare Nigeria’s youth to compete globally.
Reaffirming his commitment to educational reform, he emphasised his resolve to enhance learning outcomes, foster innovation, and ensure inclusive access to quality education for all Nigerians.
