Algorithm Media Marks 10 Years Of Innovation, Excellence

Chairman of First Primus Group, Otunba Seni Adetu, has said sustained innovation and resilience are responsible for Algorithm Media’s success as the company celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Founded in 2016, Algorithm Media has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading forces in marketing communications, overcoming challenges to remain in operation.

At a media parley, Adetu described the milestone as more than just the passage of time but a tribute to excellence in the face of adversity.

“From our perspective, there’s so much to celebrate because the fact that we’re even standing 10 years after is a thing of joy. It’s not just about marking time; it’s truly a celebration of excellence.

“While reminiscing over these last 10 years, I realised that since the time we started Algorithm Media, there have been two economic recessions in Nigeria in 2016 and 2020. There was COVID in Nigeria, yet we’re standing 10 years later talking about a business that’s still thriving.  I just thought that was something worth celebrating, so we thank God that we are here today. But it’s not a celebration of marking time. It’s really a celebration of excellence.”

Adetu also mentioned that the key driver of the firm’s success has been its early embrace of innovation and digital tools, long before they became industry buzzwords, positioning itself at the forefront of industry transformation.

He said, “We’re big on innovation; a lot of people are talking about AI and digital support and all of that. This is something that we embarked on many years ago, almost since inception. Some of the systems and processes we use here are not common in Nigeria.

“Just like Audience Origin enables us to understand the consumer better because it speaks to how consumers behave in their normal day. What time do they wake up to take their tea? What time do they wake up to do X, to do Y? By doing that, we can then transfer that information into the tools we have to better understand them. And by doing that, we come up with creative strategies that show we’re very unique because we understand consumers.

“Now, I don’t want to talk about some of the strategies that we use in public. But the key thing is that we have tools that are very unique and proprietary to us. We use them to better understand consumers. I must tell you the truth, and anyone can also come and see for themselves if they want to pay a visit to Algorithm Media. So we’re very proud of what God has done for Algorithm Media for these last 10 years,” he concluded.
