Governor Alia praised the newly elected officials as “faithful servants of the party and the nation,” expressing satisfaction with the outcomes of the meetings.
Speaking on his visit to the Vice President, he emphasized the latter’s unwavering support for Benue state, noting the Vice President’s profound passion for agriculture, which is of great importance to the state, known as the “food basket of the nation.”
“Benue needs individuals who share our vision for food security and overall state security,” Governor Alia said.
He highlighted the significance of cooperation with stakeholders who can help the state progress and thrive in its pivotal role in ensuring food sustainability for the nation.
Regarding the expectations from the new APC leadership, Governor Alia stressed the need for unity both within the party and across the nation.
He urged the new officials to carry on the hard work done in the past, ensuring continuity in achieving national greatness.
“For the unity of the party, unity of the nation; primarily, that and then to continue the hard work that was also done in the past. We need continuity. We have this regime; this renewed hope we all have to make our nation continually great.
“There is nothing less that is expected from the new leadership, either. And we are hoping they’re quite a good cream that is brought into the scope of the leadership and I believe they are not going to give us anything less. We trust them,” Governor Alia asserted.
