EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale disclosed this while reacting to the judgment on Wednesday, saying the anti-corruption agency was studying the judgement.

Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi on Wednesday, acquitted and discharged Fayose of alleged money laundering charges preferred against him by the EFCC.

According to Oyewale, “The former governor was re-arraigned on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, alongside Spotless Investment Limited on an 11-count charge bordering on money laundering and stealing to the tune of N6.9billion.”

He reaffirmed the EFCC’s commitment to the rule of law, saying the anti-graft agency has briefed its counsel to appeal the judgment.
