Fagbemi made the appeal during the Kwara South Summit held at Ajase-Ipo in Irepodun local government area of the state.

At the end of summit, the people of Kwara south agreed to support Kwara north to produce the next governor of the state.

The people agreed that the governorship seat should be ceded to Kwara north in the interest of equity and fairness, noting that the last time the northern district produced a state governor was in 1991.

The APC chairman commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for promoting equity and fairness in the state.
