Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged residents to continue praising God for their individual growth and the state’s collective development.
The governor made this statement Sunday at the 25th Annual Lagos State Thanksgiving Service, themed ‘Harvest of Thanksgiving’, held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu noted that 2024 saw significant developments, and President Bola Tinubu’s implementation of strict policies is now yielding positive results.
“We have seen growth across sectors, which will continue in the new year, while the world has seen Nigeria in a more positive light, leading to increased foreign direct investments,” the governor stated.
He assured that his administration would continue collaborating with the Federal Government to ensure all citizens benefit from the dividends of democracy.
Sanwo-Olu also assured that the executive would continue working with the state legislature on reliable and affordable electricity and conducting local government elections within the year.
Also, the state’s Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode, thanked participants and urged residents to prepare for their Thanksgiving harvest diligently.
The event, which featured music, praise, worship, prayers, and Bible readings, was attended by the governor’s wife, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, state government officials, the Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, and various religious leaders.
