Amadeus University Announces Appointments Of Pro-Chancellor, Principal Officers

The leadership of Amadeus University, Amizi, has announced the appointment of Prof. Mrs. Ihuoma Roseline Ndimele as its maiden Pro-Chancellor and Chair of the University’s Governing Council.

According to the university, Prof. Ndimele is a prominent scholar and administrator, and brings a wealth of experience garnered over decades of an illustrious career in the academia to the leadership of Amadeus University. She is currently the Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, Abia State, and previously served as the Dean of, the Faculty of Humanities, ABSU.

In a statement, Prof. Ndimele was said to have throughout her career, headed various departments, institutions, centers and made substantial contributions to public service, serving as a commissioner overseeing the ministries of women affairs, youth and development as well as lands, survey and urban planning in different stints with the Abia State government.

“Her commitment to education and community development is also demonstrated by her leadership and involvement with various socio-cultural groups such as Rotary International and Inner Wheel, and in her role as the Ugo Eze of Awomnuzie, Ikwuano, Abia State,’’ the statement said.

The university in the same vein announced the appointments of its principal officers following the approval of the Governing Council, to that effect, Prof. Samuel M. Nzotta was announced as vice-chancellor, effective March 2024. Professor Nzotta is renowned for his academic career in Finance, alongside extensive leadership experience in academic administration and industry, as well as a strong commitment to excellence.

Also appointed is Mr. Ernest O. Onuoha as Registrar while Dr. Ngozi Blessing Ukachi was appointed as the University Librarian and Mr. Augustine Ugorji was appointed as Bursar.
