Amb. Nkweke Receives Umueri Royal Title

The town of Umueri in Anambra state was recently agog with the conferment of a well distinguished Chieftaincy title on the International Spokesman of the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA. This title has added to the rising profile of the erudite spokesman of IAWPA.

The title of Onu Na Ekwulora (mouth piece of Umueri community) which was conferred on Amb. Dr. Emmanuel Nkweke by His Royal Majesty Igwe Sir Bennett Izuchukwu Emeka the Igwe in Council, was witnessed by His wife Mrs. Glory Nkweke, the World Peace President Amb. Per Stafsen as well as other notable Eminent Peace Ambassadors. Others who graced the unique event included titled Chiefs, captains of Industries and youth organisations.

Speaking at the event, the Igwe in Council HRM. Igwe Sir Bennett Izuchukwu Emeka eulogized the noble contributions of Amb. Nkweke to global, regional as well as community peace. He said the people of Umueri community are really happy with the good works of the renowned peace advocate which has seen him transverse countries in search of peace. He also said the effort of Amb. Nkweke in unveiling for the first time the United Nations Plan of Action to safeguard Religious Sites in Unity and Solidarity for Peaceful Worship in Umueri helped ignite the royal title on him.

“we are very happy to be associated with your good works and we as a community believe there is no better way to honour you than to confer on you this very prestigious honour which we believe, will help our community grow” he said.

While expressing gratitude to the Igwe in Council and the entire people of the Umueri community, Amb. Emma Nkweke said it is in his DNA to pursue peace and that he will not relent in his calling. He said the people of the community should be comfortable in having him as a dependable ally who will help showcase the peace efforts of the Igwe and the community to the international community.

Also speaking at the event, the international peace President Amb. Per Stafsen from the Kingdom of Denmark said he has known Amb. Nkweke for over a decade and his zeal for world Peace and the pursuit of success of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDGs cannot be over emphasised. While thanking the people of Umueri community for the honour, he assured them of the support of IAWPA.

It is on record that Umueri community is the first community in Nigeria whose geo spatial information has been mapped fr safe worship.
