The 2025 edition of Women in Business (WIB) trade fair is poised to be exceptional as leading brands and organisations have joined the long list of partners and headline sponsors of the annual business gathering.

While Amstel Malta, MTN, Nigerian Breweries and FIBI are the latest partners, First Bank has emerged as the headline sponsor.

These are part of the efforts being made by the organisers to ensure that the Abuja economy is vibrant.
The trade fair, which will take place from 31 October to 2 November 2025, will be held at the expansive Abuja National Stadium, now known as Moshood Abiola Stadium. Exhibitors will converge for the largest trade fair in Abuja.

This trade fair, packaged by Okads Seafoods and supported by the Development Bank and Smedan, is designed to give women access to meaningful economic opportunities and give those already in business a large platform to increase their visibility.

Last year, the Old Parade Ground in Garki district, where the trade fair took place, was indeed a beehive of activity, with the exhibitors smiling to the banks.

According to Ebiere Empere, the convener and CEO of OKADS Seafood, who spoke with journalists at the weekend, the choice of Moshood Abiola stadium was strategically chosen to accommodate the growing interest the trade fair has attracted.

She said exhibitors are coming in from not just Abuja but neighbouring states who want to create a new market and a new network for their brands.

She added that at least 100 local market women will enjoy a 100 per cent discount for a stand to display their goods.

“This is expected to be one of the largest trade expos in Abuja in recent times. You were the one who did that last year and saw the enormous interest it attracted. This year, we are not doing anything less. The attention will shift to Moshood Abiola Stadium; we are ready to match the energy.

“This is strategically organised to create opportunities for smart shoppers to get their items ready early enough before the Christmas price hike sets in”, she added.

There will be a shopping extravaganza, village market, service centre, entertainment and kiddies zone.
