The joy of the co-executive producer of the Yoruba biopic, ‘Lisabi: The Uprising’, Mo’ Bimpe Adedimeji knew no bounds as she evoked emotions while receiving the 2025 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) as the ‘Best Indigenous Language’ In West Africa.
Mo’ Bimpe, who was accompanied by her husband, Lateef Adedimeji, who played ‘Lisabi’ in the epic movie, thanked the organisers and stated that indeed the reward of hardwork has come.
The movie ‘Lisabi: The Uprising’ in the category sonsored by ONGA, defeated other nominees like ‘Kaka’, ‘Seven Doors’, Kunle Afolayan’s
‘Anikulapo: The Rise of Sceptre’, among others.
Earlier in the day, the movie had won the ‘Best In Sound Design’ award of the AMVCA 2025, which is the 11th edition.
