ANA Announces New Literary Award

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has announced a new literary award titled the ANA/Awele Ilusanmi Book Promotion Award.

The award, aimed at enhancing the reward system for Nigerian writers, will present N100,000 each to the three top winners in the ANA Award categories: Poetry, Fiction, and Drama.

In addition to the N300,000 cash prize for the 2026 edition, winners of the award will also benefit from structured support in book promotion and distribution, an intervention designed to address one of the most pressing challenges faced by authors in the Nigerian literary ecosystem.

Dr Awele Ilusanmi is a distinguished Fellow of ANA whose contributions to the growth of the literary community have earned her widespread recognition both locally and internationally.

An accomplished author, Dr Ilusanmi is celebrated for her sustained support and impactful contribution to the Nigerian literary space. She has dedicated her career to equipping writers with practical tools for navigating the publishing landscape, authoring several books focused on marketing strategies and sustainable literary success.
