A steering committee on the implementation of the Rule of Law and Anti-corruption (ROLAC)11, 2024 workplan has been inaugurated by the Anambra State government.
The state’s attorney-general and commissioner for justice, Prof. Sylvia Chika Ifemeje who performed the function in Awka yesterday, said that the committee would oversee the implementation of the ROLAC 11 work plan.
The membership of the committee was drawn from stakeholders in the justice delivery sector including the judiciary, the police, human rights group, the civil society organisation, the law reform committee, public procurement, public prosecution, Women Affairs, Health sector and Persons with disability group.
At the inauguration exercise, the attorney-general, who is also the chairman of the committee, enjoined the members to make efforts to ensure that the work plan is implemented.
The highpoint of the inauguration was the presentation of the proposed ROLAC 11 Workplan in the state by Mrs Josephine Onah.
The workplan was validated by members and adopted as a working document.
