Baron Meyagy, the father of Big Brother Naija star Angel Smith, has publicly voiced his support for his daughter as her short-lived marriage to her partner, Tumininu, crashes in a messy public fallout.
The father’s reaction follows a video that went viral online, allegedly showing the reality star being arrested by law enforcement in the United States. While the details of the arrest remain unconfirmed, the video has sparked massive concern among fans.
Taking to Instagram to defend his only child, Baron Meyagy posted an emotional message making it clear that he stands by her regardless of the rumours.
“Family stands by each other as a unit, irrespective of the circumstance. In the end, she’s FATHER’S DAUGHTER. I gotcha U Mummy,” he wrote.
The family drama follows a series of heavy demands from Angel’s estranged partner, Tumininu. Only two weeks after their private wedding, Tumininu has officially asked that the marriage be cancelled. She is also demanding a refund of $40,000, along with $8,000 for “emotional damages.”
Tumininu claimed the marriage was rushed due to Angel’s legal issues in the U.S. and shared leaked chats showing the couple fighting over money and a lack of intimacy.
