The Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has rejoiced with Christians across Nigeria as they celebrate the Easter season.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the national president, the society described Easter as a season symbolising sacrifice, renewal and hope, noting that it provides an opportunity for reflection on the values that unite Nigerians as one people.
The society stated that at a time when the nation faces various social and economic challenges, the enduring virtues of compassion, patience and selflessness remained vital for national progress and collective wellbeing.
“The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society joins all Nigerians of goodwill in affirming the importance of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and national unity. It therefore called on citizens, irrespective of faith or background, to embrace tolerance, understanding, and empathy as essential principles for building a harmonious, resilient, and prosperous society,” it added.
