Apapa Faction Submits Barr Asemota Name As Edo Guber Candidate

The Nigeria Labour Party (LP) faction led by Lamidi Apapa has submitted the name of Barr. Anderson Uwadiae Asemota as its gubernatorial candidate for Edo State.

A letter addressed to INEC chairman, Alhaji Lamidi Apapa (acting national chairman) and Alhaji Saleh Lawan (acting national secretary) of the LP dated 22 February, 2024 confirmed their candidates for the gubernatorial election.

“We write to submit the names of our candidates that emerges from our Governorship primary election conducted today in Benin Edo State
“Governorship Candidate Barr Anderson Uwadiae Asemota. Deputy Governorship Candidate, Barr. Monday Ojore Mawah,” the letter stated. Apapa who spoke to LEADERSHIP, confirmed the submission of the letter, stating that it is from him.
