“It is meant to wipe away the tears of our people who suffered untold hardship in the eight difficult years of politics of exclusion and vengeance played by the immediate past Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration.”

The businessman cum politician also urged the new administration to govern with the people in mind, adding that democracy is all about the people regardless of their political or cultural leanings.

He continued: “I urge the new administration to carry all Edo people along irrespective of religious, cultural and political affiliations and build a new Edo State where all will be proud to belong and call their home.

“The new Governor must shun sycophants who may come around him to destroy others before him to reap where they have not sown. The task of rebuilding Edo State should be a collective one and I want to assure His Excellency the Governor of my full and unwavering support.

“I will use my local and international connections and goodwill to support the government of Gov. Okpebholo to bring about massive agricultural development and direct foreign investments to Edo State,”Jimawo assured.
