Thousands of supporters of Asiwaju Munirudee Bola Oyebamiji, a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), trooped out on Tuesday in Osogbo for a road walk to rally support for his emergence as the party’s flag bearer in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.

The funfair roadshow, ‘Unity Walk,’ which took off from Osogbo township stadium through Igbona to an old garage and terminated at Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Ileri-Oluwa campaign office in Ogo Oluwa, caused gridlock along the popular road.

Speaking, the immediate past Osun House of Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye, said the massive response of Osogbo residents to the road walk demonstrated the acceptability of Oyebamiji to the people of Osun.

While appreciating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving them the platform to operate as politicians through good governance, Owoeye expressed optimism that the Osun electorate will vote for the APC.

Also speaking, Prince Adebayo Adeleke, aka ‘Banik’, noted that although all the governorship aspirants in APC are competent, Oyebamiji is more acceptable to the people of Osun State.

“There is no aspirant in APC that is not competent. They are all competent. But we are saying that Bola Oyebamiji is above all regarding the APC. As we speak, he is more acceptable, a gentleman, knowledgeable, and a financial expert. He is the one who can strengthen Osun’s economic situation.
