APC Clears All Aspirants For Anambra Guber Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared all the seven Aspirants who obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest in the party’s upcoming Anambra Governorship Primary Election slated for Saturday, April 5, 2025.

The Anambra State 2025 Gubernatorial Election Screening Committee, chaired by the former Governor of Katsina state, Ibrahim Shehu Shema carried out the exercise on Friday and Saturday at the APC’s national Secretariat, Abuja.

APC national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, who disclosed this on Monday, said the party had issued Certificates of Clearance to the aspirants at its party’s national secretariat in Abuja on the same day.

The aspirants cleared by the committee are as follows: Sir Paul Chukwuma, Prof. Obiora Francis Okonkwo, Hon. Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu, Hon. Chukwuma Michael Umeoji, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, Johnbosco Obinna Onunkwo and Edozie Madu.

Morka said: “one of the cleared Aspirants, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, has been granted a waiver by the Party to contest the Primary Election.

“All members of the party, including new and old members, in Anambra state, are required to revalidate their membership as prescribed by the party, ahead of the scheduled primary election,” he said.
