The ruling party congratulated its governors; Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Uba Sani (Kaduna), and Nasir Idris (Kebbi), whose victories were upheld by the apex court.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC acknowledged that the court ruled in favour of the opposition in Delta State (Sheriff Oborevwori, PDP) and urged everyone to remain calm and peaceful.

Morka admitted that in every contest, one wins some and loses some, but they must all continue to submit to the dictates of the rule of law and constitutional order.

The statement reads: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) welcomes today’s Supreme Court decisions in election petitions challenging the outcome of 2023 governorship elections in six states.
