Gombe State commissioner for Works, Housing and Transportation, Engr. Usman Maijama’a Kallamu, has participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) ongoing e-membership registration and revalidation exercise in his Daban Fulani Ward, Kwami local government area.
Speaking during the exercise, Kallamu called on the party stakeholders to intensify grassroots mobilisation across the area, describing the nationwide digital registration and revalidation initiative as a critical step towards strengthening the APC’s internal democracy, unity and organisational structure.
According to him, the e-registration process was introduced to update and authenticate the party’s membership database, improve transparency, and ensure that all members are properly captured and recognised within the party’s framework.
“The essence of this exercise is to give every genuine member a sense of belonging and full political rights within the party,” the commissioner said.
“Once you are properly registered and revalidated, you are qualified to benefit from any gesture or opportunity offered by the party.”
Kallamu appealed to APC members in the area, particularly those still holding old membership cards, to visit their wards and complete the digital registration and revalidation process.
He also encouraged new entrants from other political parties to take advantage of the exercise to formally join the APC.
“I urge all our members, especially in Daban Fulani Ward, and even those willing to defect from other parties, to come out en masse and register. This process guarantees your recognition and secures your future political participation within the APC,” he added.
The commissioner further charged APC leaders and stakeholders in Kwami local government to deepen grassroots mobilisation in order to ensure widespread participation in the exercise.
Earlier, the member representing Kwami East Constituency in the Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Shuaibu Adamu Haruna, also called on residents of the local government area to remain united and actively participate in the ongoing e-registration and revalidation exercise, describing it as vital to the party’s growth and cohesion.
Also speaking, Professor Shuaibu Umar, one of the ruling party’s loyalist, described the e-registration and revalidation initiative as a transformative step toward inclusive and modern party administration.
He said the digital approach aligns with the APC’s commitment to innovation and broader participation.
“This system removes barriers and ensures that every member’s voice counts in shaping the future of the party,” Umar said.
